What you can store

These are the numbers the app actually enforces. The same figures appear on the Mediara Plus screen inside the app, generated from the table the code uses — so this page and the app cannot drift apart.

What is never limited, in either plan

Several of these are built so that they cannot be limited, even by mistake.

How the counting works

The caps count what is live and in use, never your history.

1. Deleted things don’t count — immediately. The moment you delete something, its slot is free. You do not wait 30 days for the Recycle Bin to empty.
2. Finished things don’t count. Only medicines you are currently taking, allergies you currently have, and symptoms you are still using. A course you finished last year can never stop you adding a new prescription. For records — history, visits, prescriptions, vaccinations, documents — the whole point is that they are a record, so everything you have kept counts.
3. Restoring a backup is never blocked. If your backup holds 80 medicines and the free plan includes 50, all 80 come back and all 80 work completely.
4. Nothing is ever hidden, locked, made read-only, or deleted because of a limit. Reading, editing, deleting, exporting, backing up and reminders work exactly the same at any number.

A few specifics worth knowing

• Attachments count as documents. Add a prescription and attach three photos of it, and that uses 1 prescription and 3 documents — they are all files in your vault.
• Wound photos count too. A photo a day on the surgery wound log is about 50 photos in seven weeks. The app warns you as you get close, and deleting older ones frees the slots straight away.
• A future appointment is a doctor visit. There is no separate appointments list, so a booked appointment uses one of your 15 visits.
• Your profile photo doesn’t count as a document, and neither do photos you are part-way through capturing.
• Each person is counted separately. With Plus and family members, each person’s records are counted on their own.
• Reading text from a multi-page report costs one, not one per page. A 12-page report saved as a single document uses one of the ten. Three separate photos saved as three documents use three.
• A failed operation costs nothing. If extraction fails, it is not counted; trying again does count.
• A PDF that already contains text costs no recognition at all. Most emailed lab reports are born digital, so the text is read straight from the file — exact and instant — and only genuinely scanned pages go through recognition.
• Monthly counts are per phone, not per account. The app has no account and no server, so it has no way to add them up across devices.

What you see as you get close

If this month’s text extractions are used up, your document still saves completely and normally. The app tells you its text isn’t searchable yet, marks that document so you can see it at a glance, names the date the allowance resets, and lets you read the text later with one tap. The Search screen also tells you when something is missing from your results — you are never quietly given an incomplete answer.

If you end up over a limit

There are three honest ways to get there: you restored a backup, you imported a file, or you had Plus and it ended. Here is exactly what happens.

A worked example. You have Plus. You add 100 medicines. Your subscription ends. All 100 are still there, all 100 are still editable, and all 100 still remind you. You just can’t add a 101st until you are back under 50 active medicines, or Plus comes back.

Limits that apply to everyone

These are memory and storage-hygiene bounds that keep the app working reliably on a phone. They are identical whether or not you have Plus, and Plus does not change any of them.

Buying, and what happens afterwards

• How you can buy: monthly, yearly, or once for Lifetime. All purchases go through Google Play under Google’s terms; Mediara never receives your payment details.
• Prices are shown in the app, in your own currency, set per country rather than converted from an exchange rate. They are not listed here because they differ by country and can change.
• On a new phone, tap Restore purchases on the Mediara Plus screen. Your purchase belongs to your Google account. Your data comes back separately, from your own backup.
• Being offline never downgrades you, including being offline for a year. Your Plus status changes only when Google Play positively reports that it has changed.
• A pending payment — some methods such as UPI and cash cards are confirmed by Google Play with a delay — shows a “payment processing” notice, and Plus unlocks automatically the moment Play confirms. Don’t buy again; if the payment ultimately fails, Play doesn’t charge you.
• Refunds are handled by Google Play under its refund policy, in addition to any non-waivable rights under your country’s consumer law.
• Lifetime permanently unlocks the Plus feature set on your Google account, including future Plus features as they are released. It does not include any future optional online service with ongoing running costs — if such a thing is ever offered, it will be separate and labelled as such before purchase.
